Class Description

Montaigne (1533-92) was a man of tolerance in a time of great intolerance and violence. He invented the essay as a means of exploring himself. In this course, we will study his life and world, read a selection of his essays, and take a stab at writing our own essays a la Montaigne. In Person: B2 Mondays, 10:00 - 11:30 Class Limit: 15
