Class Description
Dickens' last completed novel exploring the importance of money in Victorian London. Money is represented in the novel in part by "dust" in the British sense, that is trash. The central symbol of the book is the garbage dump. Students should provide a text and have read the first 8 chapters by the first meeting. We will be reading 100+ pages weekly.
