Class Description

This course explores the evolutionary process that the Christian God is understood to sustain, examining how creation continually unfolds through increasing complexity and consciousness. We will delve into Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s concepts of radial energy and the Law of Complexity‑Consciousness, consider the independent 1935–1936 Yale research by F. S. C. Northrop and H. S. Burr that supported Teilhard’s hypothesis, and discuss Paolo Soleri’s visionary arcology designs as models for fostering community and psycho‑social development.
