Moving with Greater Ease Feldenkrais

Class Description

Do you sometimes feel discomfort in your back, perhaps from overuse or neglect? Our spine has a natural capacity for comfort, efficient organization, and ease of movement. The spring quarter eight gentle Feldenkrais® lessons may help you improve the organization of the back to assist with function and comfort. Feldenkrais® lessons use neuroplasticity to help us pursue our daily, recreation, and exercise activities with more ease and less pain. The Feldenkrais Method® helps us learn increased flexibility and balance, while possibly reducing chronic pain. Join us online or in person for lessons of small, slow, light movement variations. Spring 2024 classes will be about improving the organization, use, and comfort of the back. No experience needed. Lessons may be done lying on a mat on the floor or seated in flat-bottomed chairs. Wear comfortable clothing. All participants will be expected to read and agree to a liability release form. *Please note: Gail is teaching on Zoom and in person at the same time; sign up for one format only. Class fees will be refunded 100% if an instructor cancels class or a student drops before the end of the first week of classes.
