Class Description
Argentina has "one of the richest art music traditions and perhaps the most active contemporary musical life," so says the Harvard Dictionary of Music. We will cover tango, folk music, and classical music. Other topics that we will explore include contributions by immigrants and our neighbors, Evita, politics and patriotism, music for children, and the connections to literature and science.
