Native Spring Flowering Plants

with Louise Kulzer

Class Description

Learning About and Sharing Native Spring Flowering Plants Spring brings out a wealth of native flowers. This class will use both classroom learning and field trips to Seattle parks to learn the more common native flowers of spring. Here’s the plan: We’ll meet inside one day a week to learn the names and characteristics of 20 or so flowering native shrubs. Then we’ll spend an hour on Friday afternoons finding those flowers in a Seattle park. And if you wish, you are welcome to invite one of the favorite young people in your life to join you at the park. Grandkid, neighbor, friend’s kid—anyone with whom you may want to share a bit of nature. Parks I’m considering are Magnuson Park (children’s garden area) and Carkeek Park (environmental learning center). We will plan the Friday outing during the Wednesday class. Wednesdays, 10:00am - 11:00am, *No class 4/3 & 4/10 In Person: Room B2 Class Limit: 10
