The Octopus: A Fascinating Creature of the PNW The Pacific Northwest is home to the largest octopuses in the world and the most fearsome hockey team, the Kraken. It is also home to a number of scientists who are doing fascinating research on octopuses, their neuroscience, their camouflage techniques, and their social habits. We will look at the attributes of the octopus and our region’s relationships to the octopus, review some reports of their interactions with people, and hear about the latest amazing scientific research.
