Photographer, world traveler and LLC instructor – Tom Dempsey – is back for an encore Let's Talk, this time on New Zealand.  Come and enjoy his photos and stories. Based upon his five visits, Tom will present “Hiking New Zealand.” The long flight from Seattle’s winter is quickly forgotten as you step off the plane into summer Down Under, with just 3 hours of jet lag. Escape to a civil and safe English-speaking, South Pacific paradise populated by distinctive Māori and Kiwi cultures. North Island and South Island pack incredible scenic variety within short distances by car, camper, bus, jetboat or bicycle. After a day of driving on the left you’ll be right as rain. Explore a Gondwanan Eden of wilderness “tracks” (well-crafted trails) by “tramping” (hiking) — 30% of the country is preserved in parks and 75% of the plant species are found nowhere else on earth.
