Photographer, LLC instructor and world traveler, Tom Dempsey, is back to share more of his beautiful photography and wonderful stories! In the Kingdom of Morocco, tagine cuisine powered our trip through thriving medinas, mudbrick forts, alluring dunes, palm oases, fossil ammonoids, the High Atlas, and the blue city of Chefchaouen. Our Textiles Tour explored classic Moroccan sights and women’s craft cooperatives. Called Berber, or “barbarian” by the Romans, the Amazigh (or Imazighen, “free people”) are the indigenous tribes of Northwest Africa who have melded in Morocco with Arab Islamic, French, Spanish, Jewish, and Roman influences.
