Class Description

This novel follows aristocratic mother and daughter refugees from far away East Prussia who are never quite accepted in their new home in Schleswig Holstein. Called “Polaks”, they are immigrants in their own country and have to come to terms with their tragic, lost history. A profound story with strong characters and a deep sense of humor.
